ABSTRACT
The article provides an overview of the U.S. Federal Firearms License (FFL). The FFL allows individuals to engage in business that have something to do with the manufacture of ammunition or firearms or the interstate or intrastate sale of firearms. The passage of the Gun Control Act in 1968 required individuals to have an FFL. The different types of FFL and the extensive application for license are also discussed.
