ABSTRACT
Reports that although Laura Ingalls Wilder began writing her `Little House' books at age 65 at the urging of her daughter, Rose Wilder Lane, most of the writing was done by Lane herself, according to a professor from the University of Missouri. The series made Wilder the Grandma Moses of American frontier life; Evidence revealing that Lane was the chief writer.
