ABSTRACT
Reports on research by biologists at the University of California at Riverside who found foreign genes introduced into crops pollinated by insects may quickly spread into wild varieties. Pollen carrying the genes could fertilize wild varieties of crop a kilometer away or more. Fears that weeds will crossbreed with genetically engineered crops; Test of this problem on radishes; Caution that is needed.
