Reports that British Queen Elizabeth II is not offering her son Charles much hope of a promotion to being king anytime soon. In a BBC-TV documentary marking last week's 40th anniversary of her accession to the throne, she brushed aside reports that she might abdicate in favor of the 43-year-old prince.
