The article discusses the report entitled "New Product Pacesetters" conducted by Chicago-based research firm IRI. The report states that the top 100 food and beverage launches and top 100 non-food launch of 2012 has registered $39.5 million in average year-on-sales. The report cites that 82 percent of food and beverage brands and 91 percent of non-food companies are among the pacesetters in 2012. The report mentions the several trends to watch for in the non-food category.
