Use of a canine distemper virus antibody test alone increases misdiagnosis of distemper encephalitis

The article presents information on a comparative study on blood circulation and the serum antibody titre:cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) antibody titre (S:C) ratios of canine distemper virus (CDV) and canine parvovirus (CPV) or canine adenovirus (CAdV) antibodies in dogs with neurological signs. The study found that there is a risk of misdiagnosis when only the CDV antibody test is used to diagnose CDE.
