ABSTRACT
The article discusses the Green Building Institute's (GBI's) Green Globes for New Construction rating system for the assessment of environmental building design and major renovation. Particular focus is given to how it relates to the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program. Its recent changes are based on ANSI/GBI 01 -2010, Green Building Assessment Protocol for Commercial Buildings.
