ABSTRACT
Analysing the agrarian policy of the period starting with the death of Stalin and lasting until the failure of Khrushchev, the study investigates three countries: the Soviet Union, Hungary and the German Democratic Republic. This is a unique, encompassing comparison, which looks at different cases belonging to the same regime, and examines their relation to the common regime. These are, therefore, not parallel stories of countries, rather the study focuses on a few aspects of analysis, trying to reveal the similar and the different features and their reasons. In this case this is how the two satellite countries related to the changes of the post-Stalinist Soviet agrarian policy. This approach helps learning about the internal dynamism of the de-Stalinisation, which started in agriculture, and it helps to reveal the extent of the changes of the correctional measures.
