The author offers guidelines to project managers on uniting disparate projects and teams across the portfolio following merger and acquisition deals (M&A). Results of a Deloitte survey showed that 40 percent of executives expect M&A activity to increase in the future while Intralinks Holdings reported a five-year high in the growth of early-stage M&A activity. Telstra Corp. senior project manager Eric Phua cites the importance of revisiting projects at the portfolio level.
