ABSTRACT
The pensions culprits WHO is to blame for the 'death knell for widows' pensions? (Mail) The Department of Work and Pensions is looking at proposals to make final salary schemes more viable — but how did we get into the current position? That was until another government department — the Inland Revenue — realised it was missing a trick by not applying the rule that a fund couldn't be more than 105 per cent funded.
