ABSTRACT
The article reports that according to a study conducted by Fern Hauck from the University of Virginia School of Medicine breastfeeding is longer when infants share beds with mothers. Hauck states that bed sharing makes it easier for the mother to breastfeed but he doesn't recommend it as it increases the risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS). The research was published online in the periodical "JAMA Pediatrics."
