Livingstone Spectral Imaging Project and Archive

The article discusses the writings of African continent explorer David Livingston with particular focus given to a project by scholar Adrian S. Wisnicki aimed at revealing Livingston' handwriting on documents from 1871 by the use of spectral imaging. The author comments on the benefits of the technique, which combines spectroscopy and photography and expresses his hope that more documents from the Livingstone Archive will be digitised and made available online for comparison.
