ABSTRACT
The article reports on the insights of analyst Yana Amelina about the impact of the Arab Uprisings on the radical attitudes of Russian Muslims. According to her, the rise of radical Islamism in Russia is a threat to the government and public order. It highlights her views about the five aspects of Islam's radicalization in the country which include the murder of many Muslim leaders, the formation of an eclectic Islamist ideology, and orientation to the Arab community.
