Reports on the discovery of previously unknown works of the American composer George Whitefield Chadwick. Chadwick's attentiveness in documenting his compositions, personal life, and the events during the period in which he lived; Possibility of reconstructing the development of Chadwick's opera 'The Padrone'; Possible transfer of source documents by the Chadwick family to a music library archive.
