ABSTRACT
Introduction, and Materials and Methods: Studies of health matters in Japan and overseas should be conducted from a number of perspectives. The current report studied "the proportion of individuals who exercise" in Japan from 2007 to 2009, and this report also discusses particulars relating to physical activity/exercise. Results, and Conclusion: In the years studied, a higher proportion of men and women ages 60-69 and age 70 and over exercised in comparison to the survey sample as a whole. In comparison to the survey sample as a whole, the proportion of individuals in their 20s to their 50s who exercised remained low. Studying health matters like exercise habits and following up with measures to encourage health is crucial.
