ABSTRACT
The article discusses the voting process used by the panel of critics to determine the winners for the 2013 "Gramophone" Classical Music Awards. The voting process starts with drawing up an initial longlist from all the recordings that had been reviewed from June 1, 2012 to May 31, 2013, which totaled 700 recordings. The recordings were then scrutinized by reviewers as well as the nominated record companies.
