This contribution presents the new research and information portal Virtual Library (ViFa) Benelux. The ViFa Benelux has been designed as an interactive portal for the disciplines of Benelux research, Dutch, Frisian and Afrikaans philology. The article discusses the genesis of the project, issues concerning the conceptual development, the design of the individual modules and additional services as well as technical aspects of the implementation.
