ABSTRACT
THERE is much smug mockery of the Arsenal fans who criticised Arsene Wenger at the start of the season. Mark Lawrenson is among those claiming they now look silly. Hardly. The fans' plea was to spend money, and Arsenal's season really turned around once Wenger did. They were not wrong.
