ABSTRACT
The analysis of the explosive production of technical terephthalic acid (TPA) by JSC "POLYEF" in the Republic of Bashkortostan. Found a "weak link" of the reporting process, which is the site of the initial preparation of the reaction mixture. A number of measures to improve safety explosion of the object based on the increase of the corrosion resistance of operating equipment, gain control of leaks in the welds on vessels operating with a solution of acetic acid and p-xylene under excess pressure, due to the installation of special sensors, consisting of a gas analyzer and half pipes that is welded to the shell welds along their entire length, and the way to prevent flame propagation in case of emergency on air ducts storage equipment by installing flame arrester OP YUOA. Suggested ways to improve the safety of the production will reduce the risk of accidents and to reduce the damage from an accident.
