ABSTRACT
The article considers the case of Esmaila Connateh, one of the foreigners deported en masse from Angola in 2004, and the action taken by the Institute for Human Rights and Development in Africa with the African Commission on Human and People's Rights. It highlights the findings of the Commission after weighing the alleged violations of the African Charter on Human Rights and People's Rights. It explains the rationale for the decision of the Commission that the mass expulsion was discriminatory.
