ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the 2013 Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery (TIGER) grant awards announced by U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary Anthony Fox on September 5, 2013 and expectations on the 2014 grant awards. Fox announced to state and local sponsors about the 474 million dollar-grants each for 52 projects. But a total of 533 projects did not make it to the selection. But these unsuccessful applicants are concerned on the 2014 TIGER awards due to budget cuts.
