ABSTRACT
The article presents information on the German library society Bibliothek & Information Deutschland (BID) with special attention to its work from January until March 2013. The article discusses the personnel management and officials of the BID as well as its finances. Other topics mentioned in this article include the German library award Karl-Preusker-Medaille, the society's 5th conference held in Leipzig, Germany from March 11-14, 2013, and further training programs for library employees.
