The article reports on the increase of dollar sales of nonfood categories in supermarkets in the U.S. over 2012. It states the growth of cold/allergy/sinus category by 6.7% to $771 million due to higher pollen counts and increased prevalence of allergies. It also mentions the 6% growth attained by pet supply category to $744 million in supermarkets.
