ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the legal system or condition of Venezuela as of 2013. The judicial system of the country is regarded as one of the weakest among the Latin American countries. The National Constituent Assembly declares judicial emergency for the reform of the discredited judiciary of the country in August 1999. Former President Hugo Chavez signs a fair costs and prices law to give access to goods and mitigate inflation.
