ABSTRACT
The article discusses the launching of a new research initiative by the Bromeliad Society International (BSI), the Harry E. Luther BSI Scholar Program which is expected to enhance the education and research dimensions of BSI and Marie Selby Botanical Gardens (MSBG), help maintain the high quality of living collection and further the conservation of bromeliads. The program will also document bromeliad diversity in nature, conserve rare bromeliad species and provide public lectures.
