ABSTRACT
The article features Nat DeLeon and his involvement with Bromeliad Society International (BSI) and the Bromeliad Society of South Florida. His enthusiasm for bromeliads was born after he took over the landscaping of Parrot Jungle in Miami, Florida when he realized he had to learn about the tropical plants he was working with including bromeliads. His interest in bromeliads grew into developing cultivars that would do well in landscaping in south Florida. He was named Honorary Trustee of BSI.
