ABSTRACT
The article reports on the remarks of Theran Colwell, strategy and business development director for the Mutual Group of the Credit Union National Association (CUNA), on interest rate forecasting in the U.S. It mentions his claim over the lack of experience among credit union (CU) executives in handling rate increases which he considered fascinating. Furthermore, Colwell suggest to go beyond the scenarios involving asset liability management (ALM) and the rates in strategic planning.
