ABSTRACT
The article examines the delay of employer mandate under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) in the U.S. until 2014. U.S. President Barack Obama's administration through the U.S. Department of the Treasury said that the delay will push back penalties for noncompliance until 2015 and verify further the income and health insurance status of consumers. It also explores the effects of the delay to several stakeholders including employers, insurers, and consumers.
