ABSTRACT
Obesity in low-income pre-school children has declined overall from 2008-11 in 18 states and the U.S. Virgin Islands, according to a study by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Rates fell the most in Fla., Ga., Mo., N.J., S.D. and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Rates increased in 3 states. Currently 1 in 8 children ages 2-5 is obese.
