IT seems Labour activists are not entirely convinced over the plan to select their next mayoral candidate via a primary. In an account of the meeting of Labour's ruling NEC, member Ann Black writes: "There were mixed views on the primaries... London might work, as the mayoralty is a celebrity contest anyway."
