ABSTRACT
The article discusses a set of updates to technology company Microsoft Corp.'s on-premises servers and cloud-hosted services, referred to as Cloud OS v.Next. The coming version of Hyper-V reportedly supports a new type of virtual machine (VM) called Generation 2 VM. Hyper-V v.Next likewise supports live migration of virtual machines from Server 2012 to Server 2012 R2. Futhermore, the next generation of Microsoft's systems management solution is said to fully support hybrid environments.
