Provides information on the high rate of suicidal attempts in Sri Lanka, with the use of agricultural pesticides or natural poisons. Number of persons admitted to hospitals during 1995 and 1996 with acute poisoning; Ages of persons being admitted to hospital for self poisoning; Methods of reducing deliberate self harm.
