ABSTRACT
The article focuses on LockerDome, an Internet industry firm which operates a social media Website of the same name used by professional athletes, sports teams and sports journalists to communicate with sports fans. The Website's audience of an average 14 million visits a month is discussed. The intense competition within the mass media industry of Websites devoted to sports is noted. Efforts by LockerDome to market Internet advertising are examined.
