ABSTRACT
The article cites the view of engineering consultancy Buro Happold that the Green Deal building energy efficiency upgrade loan scheme could struggle to attract a wider range of investors for more ambitious installations in Great Britain. The consultancy notes that most investors will likely seek an internal rate of return of up to 11-15% because of the Green Deal's unknown risks. Buro Happold also warns that most of the benefits from Green Deal will go to investors rather than occupants.
