ABSTRACT
The article reports on the concern of the U.S. Army on how defense contractors will get along if sequestration budget cuts continue. According to Army Secretary John McHugh, it is estimated that the industrial base will lose $1.7 billion and will affect 18,000 jobs if sequestration hit and the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) will continue operating under a now-expired temporary budget called a continuing resolution (CR). The effort of the U.S. Army to keep its weapons programs viable is cited.
