ABSTRACT
The article examines the emerging molecular targets (MT) in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and explores the novel treatment options for the disease. The results of clinical trials on the use of the MT, namely epidermal growth factor (GF) receptor, vascular endothelial GF, and anaplastic lymphoma kinase, in LC are discussed. Among the other emerging molecular predictors being tested for response to NSCLC chemotherapy include breast cancer 1 and thymidylate synthase.
