ABSTRACT
THE Leaving Certificate examinations are of critical importance in shaping the futures of many of our young people. It is an extremely testing and stressful time - for those sitting the exams and for their immediate families. It is simply not acceptable, therefore, for the State Examination Commission to downplay the mistakes that we have witnessed in a number of the test papers this week.
