ABSTRACT
The article discusses the California-based ballet company Diablo Ballet and its use of online social networks, and the Twitter social network in particular, to crowdsource creative ideas that led to its performance of the dance "Flight of the Dodo." Topics include comments by the company's artistic director Lauren Jones and marketing director Dan Meagher, as well as research on art and technology by Swedish students Caroline Arkenson and Anna Maria Stipic, which was inspired by Diablo.
