ABSTRACT
AFTER reading about the four-year-old receiving treatment for iPad addiction (Mail), my class of 13 to 14-year-olds spent a week trying to survive without modern technology. As my whole life is on the computer, this would not be easy. DAY 1: I woke up and looked to my 'hub', where I sought my iPad to read the news — but it wasn't there. I'd locked it away the previous night. During the day, as snippets of gossip and news cropped up, I felt a social outcast. That evening, the hours ticked by with nothing to do.
