The article focuses on trends in convenience stores (c-stores) in the U.S. According to the 2013 NACS State of the Industry Report, foodservice continues to drive new revenue to the industry, with standouts in the category including frozen dispensed and cold dispensed beverages, and commissary items. David Morris of Kaleidoscope Research Consulting says that one of the strongest advantages c-stores have is that they do not live and die by their foodservice.
