ABSTRACT
The article focuses on a meeting held by the Mohawk Council to discuss the impeding implementation of the Bill S-4 in Quebec Province. According to this law non-native people will have equal rights to get ownership of properties native region. Kahsennenhawe Sky-Deer stated that the community should enact its own law to prevent provisional judge's jurisdiction. Several people attended the meeting including Community member Kirk Stacey and Kahnawake Legislative coordinator Kahente Horn-Miller.
