This work concerns to a study directed to the execution of exercises for the electric guitar. The use of techniques and classical compositions of other instruments, like violin, helps the popular study with licks that can be executed and with new approaches and revisiting for more dynamic studies. The Capriccio n° 5 of Niccolò Paganini, which inspired the guitar player Steve Vai, was included in the movie "Crossroads" (Steve Vai – "Eugene's Trick Bag" for the movie Crossroads. Caprice N° 5), whereas it was the tune of the final duel between two guitarists. In this context, this work studies the importance of utilizing a classical tune rewritten for diverse guitar techniques.
