The article reflects on the films that were shot in Los Angeles, California and depicted the bad side of the city especially crime from time to time. It mentions that the film "Chinatown," released in 1974 evoked a corruption of the American spirit while the film "The Grifters," released in 1990s was based on swindling. It adds that the film "Blade Runner" that was released in 1982 was a complete essence of humanity.
