The article discusses the use of bio-friendly hydraulic fluids by the Emerald Coast Utilities Authority (ECUA) of Pensacola, Florida in its waste management fleets. It describes ECUA's standardization on EnviroLogic 168, a biodegradable hydraulic fluid from RSC Bio Solutions to reduce the negative impact of fluid skills. The benefits of reducing spill impact with bio-friendly fluids include better response time, reduced costs and repairs, and improved productivity.
