Alcoa facility expected to cut in half energy used to recycle aluminum

The 21 million U.S dollar is expected to cut in half the amount of energy used to recycle aluminum for forged wheels. The facility began construction in July 2011 used advanced technology to produce wheels from re-melted and scrap aluminum. Alcoa president Tim Myers says that sustainability is integrated into the company's business strategy.
