ABSTRACT
The article highlights increases seen by farmland price across Southeast and Mid-South U.S. in first-quarter 2013 as disclosed by Farmland Investor Letter's Farmland Market Survey. The survey further revealed that an average 3,111 U.S. dollars per acre is the worth of non-irrigated cropland in the region while irrigated cropland is at average 4,169 U.S. dollars per acre. Louisiana and Arkansas were found to see strong investor demand for irrigated tracts.
