ABSTRACT
The article offers information on the four-week Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) general sign-up to be conducted by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) from May 20, 2013 until June 14, 2013, as announced by U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack. Information on the Environmental Benefits Index which is used as a basis for the ranking of the offers for general sign-up CRP contracts is given as well as the highlights of the CRP accomplishments.
