ABSTRACT
The article discusses the results of a British Nutrition Foundation (BNF) survey which showed that one-third of primary schoolchildren though that cheese comes from plants. The study noted that one in five schoolchildren believed that fish fingers are made from chicken while one in 10 secondary schoolchildren thought tomatoes grow under the ground. Additionally, one-third schoolchildren though pasta and bread were made from meat.
