ABSTRACT
Between 1998 and 2007 there was a housing boom in Spain. Even though in Asturias its effects have not been as prominent as in other regions, its impact has been substantial, with a growth in housing greater than in population and its dweling needs. This has led to the existence of a house stock as well as the transformation, to a greater or lesser extent, of numerous population entities.
