ABSTRACT
The article presents guidelines for lean eating. The author recommends preparing at least 90% of meals and snacks at home because the person has a complete control of the ingredients. To boost the volume of food on the plate, low-energy-density foods should be incorporated. High-fiber foods should also be included in the meals and snacks.
